Yami, originally from Puerto Rico, now lives in Tennessee with her husband Nelson, "The Latino Engineer," and their four children. Together, they’re building their dream home on a 19-acre homestead, sharing every step of the journey.
Through her website and YouTube channel, Yami inspires others to create beautiful, budget-friendly homes. Home Outlet is partnering with Yami and Nelson to make their dream home a reality.

After years of frustrating experiences at Big Box stores, Yami and her husband, Nelson discovered their local Home Outlet. They are working with Lynne and the Hixson Home Outlet team to design key spaces in their dream home, including their kitchen, master bath, and two kids’ bathrooms. With Store Partner, Brent’s expert design assistance, they’ve chosen to partner with us for many of the interior spaces.

Yami partnered with Store Expert Brent to design her dream kitchen, selecting Kith Kitchens cabinets for her storage, island, and butler’s pantry. To complete her warm and inviting style, she chose HausPro countertops for a stunning final touch.
MASTER BATHROOM
Master Bath: Elegant and Relaxing
Yami’s master bath features a double vanity from Kith Kitchens paired with sleek HausPro countertops for a polished look. She also scored a Home Outlet special buy on a luxurious soaker tub, combining style, comfort, and exceptional savings.
KIDS' BATHROOMS
Kids’ Bathrooms: Whimsical and Bold
Yami created distinct spaces for her kids’ bathrooms with Kith Kitchens cabinetry and HausPro countertops. Both bathrooms features playful mosaic flooring. The girls' bath will have a warm, cozy vibe, while the boy’s bathroom will feature a bold design.
